Cannes International Film Festival Red Carpet

Top 8 Stunning Looks from Cannes Red Carpet in 2024

The Cannes Film Festival is one of the most prestigious events in the world. Established in 1946, it celebrates international cinema, showcasing new films of all genres, including documentaries, from around the globe. It attracts some of the most celebrated personalities across all fields. It also serves as a significant marketplace for the film industry, facilitating deals and promoting artistic achievements.

Since the 1990s, the fashion element has gained significance in Cannes. This shift was driven by the increasing presence of high-profile celebrities and the growing influence of media coverage, which highlighted the glamorous red-carpet appearances. Designers recognized the festival as an opportunity to showcase their haute couture creations to a global audience. Every year, designers from across the globe showcase their creations on this renowned International Platform to gain visibility.

This year at Cannes, several celebrities showcased some of the most exquisite, ethereal, and creative looks. In this post, I’m going to give a shout-out to some of the best-dressed celebs at Cannes 2024.

Emma Stone

Emma Stone stole the show with a custom burgundy sequin Louis Vuitton gown. This outfit featured a plunging neckline and a short ruffled train. She paired it perfectly with satin sandals from Louis Vuitton. With minimal makeup and accessories, she let the dress speak volumes. This elegant color perfectly complemented her stunning beauty and graceful personality. Overall, I think her look was very chic and sexy. Even her second look by Louis Vuitton can be termed as a perfect little white dress. This look showcased her fashion versatility and elegance.

Coco Rocha

Coco Rocha is known for her experimental looks. This year she appeared in a lily flower-shaped gown, which swirled around her head and shoulders. Complete with a bedazzled border, this Cheney Chan number is a sculptural masterpiece. She styled it with a silver choker and matching earrings. Her hair tied in a bow updo did complete justice to her overall look. Her teal-green eye shadow and liner completed the overall floral ensemble. Her all-golden ensemble from Yanina was another one of the most intriguing looks this year. Complete with a massive feather headgear it made a prominent statement. I personally feel that her flower-shaped gown definitely deserves the attention it’s getting.

Marina Ruy Barbosa

Marina Ruy Barbosa captivated everyone with her mesmerizing looks this year at Cannes. Both of her looks were jaw-dropping. The first look was a shimmering silver dress by Elie Saab. This gown highlighted her figure with a fitted bodice and a flowing skirt, and fringe details adorned with intricate beadwork that caught the light beautifully as she walked the red carpet. Her second look was yet another stunner from Miss Sohee’s Spring 2024 couture collection. She was wearing this corset-style glass silk organza puffed ball gown yellow dress with a train. She completed this look with Chopard jewellery. I think this look was very elegant and gave off princess and fairy tale vibes.

Elle Fanning

The American actress Elle Fanning went for a chic princessy look featuring a pastel pink co-ord set paired with a sequinned cropped jacket. This Chanel piece made her look like a Disney Princess. Another of my favorites from this event was her Gucci kaftan which was a breezy yet fresh and most appropriate clothing one can opt for the Summers.

Hunter Schafer

One of the most visually striking looks at Cannes this year. Hunter Schafer featured in an Armani electric blue organza gown which further sparkled her overall luminescent beauty. She completed this look with Sapphire jewelry from Chopard. Even her second look gave off timeless classic vibes. The all-white ensemble by Prada received a lot of love. She paired it with colorful heels keeping it simple yet giving quirky vibes. I liked her all-white outfit, which could be a perfect summer dress.

Nancy Tyagi

Nancy Tyagi attracted a lot of eyeballs this season at Cannes. She’s a budding YouTuber from India and has a passion for designing and creating dresses with picture references. She wore dresses created by her, which is commendable. Although her designs are not original, her effort and dedication in putting all her work has paid off. Her Instagram profile received a massive boost by increasing her following to 2M within a week.

Anya Taylor Joy

One of the most talented actresses in recent times won everyone’s hearts at the 77th Cannes Film Festival with her stylish picks.

The first look that caught my attention was the ochre-hued bodycon dress from Atlein’s Spring 2024 collection. She topped this look with a massive straw hat from Jaquemus. She cut out another graceful look in her Dior beige tulle gown that gave off princessy and Vintage Hollywood starlet vibes. With minimal makeup and a hairdo, she paired this with a Tiffany neckpiece.

Diipa Büller-Khosla

Diipa is a very popular Amsterdam entrepreneur, content creator, and model. She bowled everyone over with her very creative and off-the-charts looks this year. Her Metallic Mermaid Gown from the ace designer Valdrin Sahiti definitely deserves applause. It was a very structured and fitted ensemble that flattered her sculpted figure. She kept her makeup very sleek and minimal to go with this overall futuristic look. Another favorite from this season would be the classic strapless red bodycon gown with the ruffled jacket. She finished off her look with a silver and red stone embellished necklace and earrings.
